Moving in to your dream home
Imagine you just got moved in to the dream home you had built in Sioux Falls. Everything is finally unpacked and put where you want it. The family is all settled and ready to go out to grab some dinner and unwind. You decide to put a load in the wash in your finished laundry room in the basement before you head out. After a fun family meal, you come home to find the washer wasn’t connected properly and now you’ve got standing water in you’re newly finished home. Worst case scenario right? Not with SERVPRO standing by 24/7 to help with emergency water removal and drying!
Initial Response
The scenario listed above is a very fortunate one for the homeowner as far as water losses go. A water loss stemming from an appliance is considered a category 1, or clean water loss, meaning the water itself poses no threat to humans. In a scenario like this we would begin the water extraction process as soon as possible to avoid mold growth.
Dry out, not tear out
After the water has been extracted, we will begin the drying process. This consists of using SERVPRO fans, dehumidifiers, and any other equipment we need to do the job right. Your first thought upon seeing that the bottom portion of your dry wall is wet may be that it is soiled and needs to be replaced. With a quick response time, this is not the case! Our team has the know how, and the equipment to dry and salvage your drywall, saving both you and your insurer money. Using equipment like our Injectadry system, we can actually make small holes in the drywall that will allow the hose system to pump warm, dry air in to the drywall to dry from within.
What’s Next?
After completing the drying , SERVPRO will clean and disinfect any surfaces that need it as well as perform any reconstruction services needed. That’s right, SERVPRO of Sioux Falls is Here to Help every step of the way, from initial notice of water loss, through drying, cleaning, and reconstruction. We are your one stop shop for making it “Like it never even happened.”
