With Winter weather SLOWLY approaching take the time to be sure your house is prepared for winter storms. Freezing weather can cause various problems throughout your home. Frozen pipes are one of the most common problems when temperatures start to drop. Typically, your home's pipes begin to freeze when the outside temperature is atleast 20 degrees Fahrenheit. Frozen pipes are at risk of rupturing, leading to serious leaks and flooding throughout your home or business causing increased damage.

If you are expecting a storm in your area or a drop in temperature, it is always smart to be prepared for the worst. Basic preparation such as having a family emergency plan, stocking a basic emergency kit, and understanding your insurance policy will help you to be prepared for any damage that may occur.
