In a Spring with minimal rainfall for the Sioux Falls area, storms are probably the farthest thing from your mind. Why worry about storms when its time to get outside and enjoy the beautiful weather! Well, as cleanup after storms is one of the things we do best, SERVPRO of Sioux Falls is always thinking about storms! Not hoping for them, but being prepared for them. Our team is always working on the best way to serve our customers, and this includes the planning of a response to a large storm event in the area, such as the Sioux Falls area tornadoes in 2019.

As most South Dakotans know, summer storms can be unpredictable, sudden, and violent. Preparation is the key for making it through the summer storm season. Have plans made with your family for different scenarios. For instance, where to go in the home in the event of a tornado, or where to meet up after the storm has passed. Having essentials such as bottled water and canned food is always a good idea in the event that a storm knocks the power off at your home.
